I'll have to ponder this again. Not sure I want a Kit Fox, and $55 for 1 mech is a lot, though it's got a few nice extras now. Answer is still probably no though.

to be fair, it's $55 for 3 mechs, not only 1. However, the value of those mechs are up for you to decide.

and for $5 more I could instead get 2(6) mechs, one of which I wouldn't mind. That said, I'm not sold on how much of a difference the variants will be, and as stated now, there would be little reason to keep the non-package mechs.

Basically each stage of the social reward is based off of sales volume, or number of packages sold/dollars generated for PGI. So right now PGI is telling you that the people who have bought the Clan Collections have generated 40% of the stage 1 goal of whatever the reward for buying into it is.
They did the same thing with the Phoenix Mech package, but that one was 3 levels, with paints and a camos as the rewards iirc.
Me personally, I am not buying into it, until PGI describes the add on's to the Clan Collections in detail. Sorry but the prices are way to high for me, for pixelated big stompy robots, that don't even explain all the bonus goodies that go along with them.

Few signs we all know the sales are poor.
- Premium time was intentionally set for higher teirs to put icing on an already expensive purchase. It was used to seal the deal in past packages, but with clear lack of interest (for good reason, no info on clan tech?? This is like purchasing from a back-alley watch dealer) PGI is willing to throw in 30 days regardless of purchase package! Good thing I'm not falling for this one again.
- A La Carte. This was not in the options at the start... well, becuase PGI honestly thought the people would fall for its bulk purchase plan again. Too bad for them, anything over $60 is a no go for me (and possibly a majority)... thats the paying price for a completed game... finshed game, the kind you actually get materials with at a shop. Little to no bugs, and finished content..... I'm not spending $60 on something still very unfinished... that has a questionable life expectancy at best.... and has NO INFO AT ALL!!!
- With the $500 gold mech, you also get the $240 package. This was also added... hahahaha, PGI finally realized the Hard-Core neck beard BT fans are few and far between.... and even less are willing to through Half a Grand on a virtual item that has 0 value. Solution: make the gold mech worth $260 instead..... the underling problem is that its still HALF A GRAND!! thanks, but no thanks.
- Regardless of sales, they WILL throw up a "meter" suggesting this is how many people are buying it!!!... I doubt those numbers will be accurate (we dont even know how many players there are for one). It's propaganda to influence their end, with no evidence to suggest it's otherwise... it's to hit the panic button on missing out on a "good deal!" on the buyers.... I urge others not to fall for that gimmic (housing bubble anyone?)
- More useless cockpit items....... please stop. People will buy if Hit-Reg and size scale didnt suck. It's pretty easy to see that.

I wouldnt trust what they say how many have bought in. We dont even have numbers to the size of the player base, how can we truely know how many are buying in... i've seen this trick before, and many of us are living it in real life now.

Yes, now you can get some stuff more for something you don't have to buy and can be achieved by waiting and playing.
If the Feb. 4th Patch is a success, PGI will get a Masakiri Package from me.

I'm not sure why people say this.
I understand on the whole the feeling behind it, but in the end these people work for a living. Marketing out little baubles are a way to create constant income for the developers, programmers, artists, animators, and so on. They need this money, if you don't want to buy them, then don't support the people who are putting love and hard work into your game.
Also in simplified terms, DON'T BE A **** TOWARDS THE PEOPLE WHOSE GAME YOU LOVE TO PLAY! THAT'S NOT JUST STUPIDITY ITS DOWN RIGHT ILLOGICAL IGNORANCE!! THEY ARE MAKING A GAME YOU WANT (Albeit with problems along the way) AND YOU ARE BEATING THEM IN THE GROUND FOR MAKING MISTAKES INSTEAD OF HELPING THEM.
YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

I bought the Uller pack two months ago, and got the 30 days premium time. When I logged in today I saw the message "redeeming items" and got my 14 days of time and "Kerensky Action Figure" as I call it
So as far as I know, you'll get all the rewards over time, month by month!

And Community warfare? sadly that will literally be community driven content. Some enterprising community member will create a galactic campaign through the use of premium custom matches and track the progress on their personal Mechwarrior fansite.Of course they won't be able to set their custom campaign during the clan invasion because the PGI is retconing clan technology to make it dramatically weaker than before, and sadly 3025 mechs are out of the question due to the game mechanics making single heat sinks unplayable (although I am sure someone will try).
