So I am guessing any mech that only becomes viable when you elite it will be a dead mech after tuesday. And a new grind begins...

This is not the beta test anymore, you just can't wipe things.

and the scary parts:
Quote
Tied to player level, the Mech efficiencies are also split up into different levels and tiers. As players gain levels, they will unlock tiers sequentially, one after another and will be able to buy the efficiencies in the next level tier. The 2x multiplier for basic efficiencies that got activated automatically after having bought all efficiencies in the elite modules will be removed with the level system, as it is reincorporated into the efficiency tiers.
Quote
Keep in mind
- this is for mech trees and the tier 1 weapon modules are not part of mech trees
- they have not announced any changes to the mech skill trees (only some new modules)
- if they do remove the automatic 2x bonus it will be "reincorporated into the efficiency tiers" somehow

I'm happy that only after 2 months of launching in September they had mentioned considering doing a re-launch in 2014. I think that would be very wise of them.

Yeah. I remember they said they were going to wipe stats when the achievement system came. I think that was in april or may in an ATD... hmm.
Edit: Ah yes,

TBH, I don't see too much value in doing that (not that you can't do it), but you would have to show significant changes in the game first (not UI 2.0 specifically, but actually having CW) instead of "just having a party". There's no meaningful value of the party without having actually accomplished something.

It could simply be their position at that time...
I like how asked for the "source" when it was literally written into a Command Chair post. Do people not read those anymore?

Yeah, I put the assumption that most of the features (mainly Community Warfare, as that's the root feature encompassing UI2.0, and everything else in mwomercs.com/theplan ) would be complete beforehand, along with some very old bugs. But I agree, without any significant change or revamp... there's basically nothing to celebrate over. I hope PGI doesn't rush it this time and try to force their ideologies on us again:
Them: "We're out beta!"
Us:"no, the game isn't even done."
Them: "But it's FTP! It doesn't matter!"
Us: "It matters to us."
Them: "haha, no it doesn't."

Also, no one asked for the source about that post, I posted it free-willingly.
