I was wondering if anyone knows a good source for information on upcoming special events for MWO.

I try to follow MWO on the homepage here, and facebook... but rarely catch any important information; completely missed out on the last double xp weekend in January. It seems like whoever is in charge of the MWO web presence prefers to do just last minute notices.

But these things must be planned further in advance than that, right?

Going into a busy time of life and would appreciate being able to plan on getting some playing time with the next event. Is there anywhere i can find information a couple weeks in advance?

Sales, double xp weekends, promotional items, etc etc are not published in advance.

They are published, however, on patch days. The weekend patches (Fridays) at 1 PM Eastern Standard Time, and the end of weekend patches (typically a Monday or Tuesday at the same time). Those are the days to look out for them.
