Ive posted this befor in great length, showing the great benfits of customization. Therefore this will be a short suggestion/ complaint.

The Mechs speed in most cases got nerfed awhile back and and dont understand why? The nerf limited the engine size.

Why are u limiting the customization of Mechs? What if i want to cut out some armor and/or heavy weapons on a Awesome to run an XL300 plus engine in it? It should be pilots choice.

Are u going to make it so Mechs cant go to slow? What if a pilot wants to put the smallest engine in the mech possible to cut wieght, making room for butt load of weapons/armor?

Please let there be some responses to the question.

Related to hit detection with faster game play speeds. Speed was nerfed but actually more so for lighter Mechs.

MASC is also unlikely to be seen any time soon as a result.

What I also find amusing is that weapons are more harder to use at speed. Beam mechanics on lasers and SRM spread effecting faster platforms more as a result. So to some extent adding too much speed with these things being apparent wont actually make them any better to use either.

Unfortunately with PGI also having to re-tune things to the min/max build mentality, lights have to try and use the fastest XL engine capable to them for defense. Whereas for slower Mechs with relative armour values being doubled they haven't had a relative down grade by comparison.

Worst hit are mediums whose relative size in MWO and yet nerfed speeds have made them have much less effective survivability wise in comparison to larger Mechs. In fact it wasn't until we saw the likes of the recent 55 toners that had the real capability of speed to compensate for this that they became more viable. But this at the cost of weapon capabilities. In fact some mediums are so large or have hit box issues that if anything other than a light killer where speed is more important then a STD engine is recommended in order to have any kind of staying power. Hence why the Centurion used in Zombie mode was the mainstay prior to more recent additions and changes.

As such I'd much prefer to work with what we have than seeing more Hit detection issues and even worse weapon use on faster Mechs as a result. However I still believe that some Mediums need a slight tweak down in size to help with where they are speed wise in the main for their relative survivability. This has been identified and recognised by PGI historically, but are reluctant to modify due to economical constraints.
