Every time I start MWO I get this window popping up. I don't know how to disable it without compromising my security. I don't get it for any other programs and I didn't get it for MWO on my old computer. I tried re-installing but it had no effect.

It's how windows7 works. it notifies you every time a piece of software wants to do something. you can either live with it or you can turn it off for the entire computer, I dont know of a way to disable it for one specfic pice of software.

It's because the client runs the patcher automatically on startup and the patcher requires admin access. I can't figure out how to link posts but I read in another thread that you need to run MWOClient.exe with -nopatch

That will prevent the patcher from starting up and therefore the message. But remember to run the patcher when an update comes out.

To turn it off for all programs and never be warned about it again, there are three ways to go about doing this.

First:
Press Start > Search for "User Account Control Settings" > Open the one with the blue flag beside it that reads "Change User Account Control Settings" > Set the slider to Never notify > OK.

Second:
Open Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control Settings > Set the slider to Never notify > OK.

Third:
Press Start > Search for "msconfig" and open it. > Click on "Tools" tab > In the list find "Change UAC Settings" > Click on it and click the Launch button below > Set the slider to Never notify > Click OK > Save > Restart

Doesn't setting the .exe to "Run as Administrator" get rid of that? I could be wrong.
