UI 2 is just a couple of days away and for those that have been keeping up with its development you know what to expect.

For the people that don't know what ui2 is like,
It's radically different.
It beeps and bops a lot
The text is small
The layout is baffling.
It's going to be updated
More is to come

For those that beta tested it? We've already voiced our opinions so there isn't much more to say.

And lastly. Get ready for the QQ.

This is why you should get your forum-ing out of the way now. Even in UI2.0 was the best thing ever, tomorrow would still be a shitstorm. So if it isn't the best thing ever, it'll be the Forumpocalypse.

Given that we already know it's not the best thing ever...

Yes people whine too much. It's sad to see that a lot of them are grown adults too.

One think I don't get is why people are whining about things now when they showed what UI2.0 would be like last May. Especially the mechlab!

People whine to much because the head of department for PGI makes them selves look like mocking fools, they have good reason to whine.

For an example: We're getting a UI 2.0 that has less features than 1.0 and supposed be "amazing" and "revolutionary".
Even though the beta testers said it sucks, they're still going with it anyways. Beta testing UI 2.0 felt more like getting early access to what suckiness PGI is bringing to the table this time.

I swear they really do have a wheel of ruin (of what to ****** up next for MWO) that Russ and Paul spin during every monthly boardroom meeting.

All everyone does is complain recently. The saddest thing was when they released skirmish mode like everyone wanted they still complained because it was gonna be Hunt the spider or what not. Seriously guys....Grow up. I don't see any of you doing better.

This will be meltdown number what, 8?

Hero mech p2w kerfuffle
Open beta launched too early kerfuffle
ECM introduction whoopsidaisy
LRMpocalypse hullabaloo
Then things were ok for like a month minus lacking HSR making the game a lagshootfest, didn't reach outrage proportions though
Then we have the great jumpsnipefest of 2013
Followed by COOLSHOT moar alpha 4 ur mechs
Proceeded by Ghost heat hilarity
Accompanied by PGI LIED MWO DIED protests on 3PV
Then we have the protests about not buying MC until CW is in place, which admittedly is less of a **** storm than previous things.
So I guess we're on 9 or 10 depending on how you look at it.

Edit

i almost forgot mwo 'launch' event.

Frankly, at this stage, some progress is better than no progress at all. If it is worse? Then it is worse. Some will hate it, some will like it, others will move on. One thing will remain though: People don't like change, and looking at various MMORPG forums, it's QQ from page 1 of the patch note thread to the page of 1044 of the same thread.
- So... yes, I'm agreeing with everything that is written here, pretty much by everyone, I just don't want these forums to turn in to what those MMORPG forums are, for I'm not waiting for another 10 years for a new Mechwarrior game.

- One thing that keeps me going here, is the fact that the people who I play against know their mechs, and their trade well; so that's enough for me to get through the "cry me a river rain", that is ensuing after tomorrow.
- If for anything else in this game, I like the fact that the pilots can provide a challenge, and a good match in MWO counts more than anything I've played in the past years in the "player VS player" field.

I can bear with the UI 2.0 'til it's more operational. Be it worse in shape than the previous test version.

Virtually all of the complaints about that came from people who don't actually play Skirmish.

I've had a few complain while playing Skirmish. since skirmish is out I've mostly been playing that. Once turrets get implemented in Assault I'll go back to playing Assault. I play skirmish wth my girlfriend and my other friends. sometimes e mix it up with conquest too.

i´ll probably logg in to update the client and move back to DayZ SA right after that, just as i did for the most part of this new year... i just can´t play MWO currently... i hope in 6 months it´ll have improved enough to bring the joy back *hopes the best*

I've been looking forward to UI 2.0 for months now, warts and all.

Anything is better than sitting for several minutes after logging in, just to be able to use the MechLab/PilotLab. Then waiting for several minutes while it Saves my loadouts. Then after a match ends, begin the waiting all over again. And thats if it doesn't crash shifting back to a window from the fullscreen game.

One think I don't get is why people are whining about things now when they showed what UI2.0 would be like last May. Especially the mechlab!

Because when they showed us what UI 2.0 was actually like in November, virtually every response to it included a huge list of problems with the Mechlab, and not only did PGI not say anything at all about these comments or the Mechlab, when the subsequent test was done last month absolutely nothing about the Mechlab had been changed. It wasn't until an announcement last week that PGI actually addressed the issues people had with the way the UI 2.0 Mechlab is set up.

I don't really know about anyone else, but I'd be much less bothered by it myself had there been an immediate response saying 'Yeah, okay, we'll fix that after we get the whole thing up and running and make it live', rather than waiting two months and past another PTS run of the UI before even mentioning the subject of nearly every negative comment from the November UI 2.0 test.
