The new UI does not display the mouse cursor in full screen mode. In the windowed login screen, the MWO cursor shows up, but after I've logged in the cursor is gone. The first time I logged in today I was able to highlight the exit button, but the confirmation pop up kept me from exiting the program.
The second time I logged in today I managed to click the exit and confirmation buttons, but the UI remained in fullscreen mode and I could not see my cursor still.

I have this same problem. As soon as the game window goes full-screen, the mouse cursor disappears. I'm using a dual display system, and I notice that the client does something to the display system to move the windows on the other display around and possibly change their size when it goes to full-screen mode. Further experimentation (unplugging the other display) showed that even with a single display, the problem occurs.

The keyboard appears to be sort of disabled ias well - I can't "Tab around" to change entry fields, or press Enter to select a highlighted option. I say "sort of", because the one time I got into a game and tried to spectate, ESC worked to ask if I wanted to quit game / return/ quit match - but I couldn't find the buttons with the mouse. Only the ESC worked...

Using Windows 8.1, NVidia graphics card.

More info available on request (tell me what you need to know ;-).

Same issue here. I appear to have an invisible 'ghost' cursor. If I manage to move the cursor over an button or tab, I can see the mouseover effect. If I <click> when the mouseover effect is active, I can get the proscribed <click> action to occur.

Edit: I was running the game if Full Screen mode with multiple monitors (although the game was only displayed on one screen). I was able to click the 'Settings' tab in the lower right-hand corner. Using my unlimited patience, I was able to navigate to the 'Video' tab in the list in the upper left corner. From there I changed my windowed mode to 'Full Window'. Clicked 'Save'. It took me 10 minutes to get my invisible cursor to find the 'Yes' button in the 'Save Settings?' screen. I now have my cursor back.

TL; DR: Use your 'ghost' cursor to change to 'Full Window' or 'Windowed' mode.

Unless settings changed when I updated I should be on Full Windowed mode already... but it's worth a shot.

Edit: I have my mouse cursor back, after changing from Fullscreen to Full Windowed mode again. After I log out the program remains in full windowed mode (instead of just windowed mode) to "log back in".

Problem fixed (at least on my machine / setup).

I got desperate and ran the W8.1 compatibility checker (Right-click on the game icon, pick "Troubleshoot Compatibility"). Picked the recommended settings, and now the mouse cursor's acting like it should.

I hope it works for you, too...... I'm not usually so trusting of Microsoft's "help me" software, but it worked for me this time.
