I know what the issue is.
Object and texture details settings. Set object details to medium or low and you can reproduce the floating barrel on the muromets (along with some other ugly LOD issues on other mechs)
eg on medium texture settings The mech lab even though the camera is so close to the mech, it forces the maximum texture mip 2 levels below the full res
eg on medium object detail the mechlab is forcing LOD2 instead LOD0.
In effect the mechlab looks like complete azz on anything but ultra high settings
There is a hidden LOD function for characters in Cryengine the team may not have come across you can set up in max or maya, on the LOD0 (or LOD1 if you want some optimization on lower specs, because LOD2 is horribad looking) model> rclick the mesh> object properties> user defined tab>
LowSpecLod0
What that does is when game is run on low specs it forces the LOD0 mesh to, well be LOD0 obviously. That might do something or not in this instance.
The solution right now is to use ultra high settings. lul
It does highlight the LODs on the Muromets has floaty AC
