My favorite build I made so far:

FS9-S

Dual AMS, 5 ML. Max Engine, Max armor, OH! And THREE tons of AMS ammo. Best mech design yet. GOOD Firepower, GOOD speed, GOOD armor... GOOD team defense, and soon to be my favorite mech.

gdam! this mech makes allot of others obselete

4 machine gun 1 energy spider?
8 Small laser blackjack?
deaths knell?
All the locusts - specifically the dual AMS locust
Raven ballistic varaint (heck at least onl the spider has mg's )
6 energy 2 ballistic firestarter-Jenner D

still wanna try it course :(

Not completely true... They won't have the 169-170KPH max speed.
The FS is probably the tallest 35ton light of them all.
But look at those slim legs MAN !
I do not see any major down side to this damn Ember hero.... Damn I tempted to buy one tonight.... after a two month hiatus of MWO... hmm hmm....

My Ember goes between 3 builds... 4ML/4MG (fast)... 4ML/1AC2 (fastish)... then the 2SL/2AC2 (Slowish)... I'm even messing around with dual PPC tests among other builds. And I'm keeping them all a secret for now

The 8Mlas FS9K may replace the Jenner F provided a light that only moves 145kph can find a place. It runs 6Mlas like a Jenner, but when it loses an arm becomes a 5Mlas boat. You can always use the 295 with less fallback if it doesn't pan out.

My Ember build is pretty standard. 4Mlas, 4 MG (1 ton), 13 DHS, 2 JJ, 295 XL. Tanks like a beast and is finally proving that an MG boat that can make its own holes is decent. No other mech in the game has the speed, ballistics, and energy to make this happen. It's a barrel of fun.

I think it will dominate light vs. light fights. It can take more damage than the Jenner Chassis (better spread) and has horizontal arm movement. Maybe the fact it can't take streaks balances it a bit.

Arm swing is (usually) offset by torso twist limitations (IE they cannot twist the torso anywhere near as far, but they can twist the arms to make up for it)

Total swing for most mechs is pretty darn near equal. (exceptions: Hunchback and Griffin off the top of my head - but those may be offset by the Shawk's lack....)

Lack of streaks is going to hurt (some) though....

I'd like to see your builds

I'm not a speed demon so I cna usually make do with slower speeds. I do like the idea of an AC10 LL FS though that I'm toying with. This could become my favorite light (well until Javelins get here)

After having gotten so used to using my xl245 4x and 2x Ravens, this is how I felt when putting in a XL 295 in my Ember.

So I say just put in whichever one you feel like. I so far am loving having so many energy slots. All Dah flamerz and lazorsZ I ebar wanted!!!!

I can't wait till the other variants are able to be in my hanger!

Edit: My favorite build so far is: 2Mlas + 2 SMPL + 2 MCHG + AMS

Nah... As per normal Sreak light should be able to win do the current state of HSR...
I really interested whether their server fixes on Feb 18th will improve on this.

Meanwhile I do know is it because mouse sense was decrease last few patches or it is just the basic Ember... (Or rustyness)
My aiming feels a bit sluggish at the moment.. need to bring up and then monitor the current state of HSR.

With the new quirks - FSA-9, 8x SPL, XL295 is the way to go (plus cooldown module)
