Hey guys, since the 12vs12 patch I've been having FPS issues
I've already been looking around the forum and tried everything but its not getting any better :/

So my Situation before the 12vs12 patch was: ~50-60 Frames on High Graphics,
and ever since the 12 vs 12 patch came out I am running the game on lowest possible graphics (aside from resolution) to get the same results with some framedrops going to around ~30

My current Setup:

CPU: AMD FX-8350 (8 core @4Ghz)
GPU: 2x Nvidia GTX 660, one in use for MW:O because SLI is still not working.
RAM: 16 GB DDR3 @1600Mhz
Windows 7
100mbit down / 6mbit upload
No heat problems

So far I tried changing the config files, nvidia setting (threaded thingy on) and nothing changed FPS wise

any idea what could be wrong?

What resolution are you running at? Also, try using at least Medium settings - sometimes the lower graphics settings will end up shifting more load on the CPU, and my experience with MWO and FX CPUs seems to reveal some weakness for the module/architecture of the Bulldozer/Piledriver cores (so you're running at a disadvantage on the CPU side to begin with). Try some higher settings to shift the load back to the GPU (your GTX 660) and it should help. Stay away from the Particles and Shadows though, they seem to stay CPU intensive the higher you go.

I've played MWO on a Core i5@ 4.4GHz, FX-8320 @ 4.6GHz, FX-6300 @ 4.6, A10-5800K @ 4.2, Phenom II X2 B55 @ 3.8 GHz and Core i3 @ 3.3, most of the time paired up with a GPU like a Radeon 7950 or higher. In my own experience, the AMD CPUs (especially the FX/APUs) have trouble sustaining over 60fps in any heavy action in multiplayer. Tuned right, they're just as playable as any Intel, but I had to get past 4.2/4.4 GHz to get that way.

I have an inferior machine to you, but get decent performance out i think (amd 1100t 6 core, 8 ram, ati hd7970 graphics. So something seems off.

Do you run this in some ultra high resolution?

Latest graphics drivers?

I am not good at nvidia and SLI, could that be part of the problem somehow?
Found this link, may be of interest:

This sounds strange, but internet explorer and flash and youtube brings my game to lag, could that be part of the reason?

Good luck!

@MercJ
resolution is 1920x1080, I tried in 1600xwhatever but even that didn't help
I'll try higher graphic settings even if that sounds strange^^

@panzerkunst99 yes latest drivers (332.21)
I deactivated SLI for MW:O so this shouldn't be an issue

Kazma, 1920x1080 you should get 60+ with your setup - not with everything at "very high" perhaps, but it should keep you running pretty smooth at medium or high. I can't confirm this, but I'd stay away from the "low" settings if you can - many games will use the "low" settings to compensate for a lower-grade graphics card and place more of the calculations on the CPU. In your case, you want as much of the bottleneck on the GTX660 as possible, since the FX's seem to bog down in multiplayer (in my experience, anyway). Still, both of my FX-6300/8320s run at 60+ fps at 1920x1080 with a 7970, so you should get something similar with medium or high settings.

Hello, IT Department. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game client?

[The MwO version of "have you tried turning it off and on again"? ]

changing to medium doesn't seem to work, and its especially hard because the game mixed up the graphic settings :)

These may seem silly but...

You Windows 7 is 64-bit right?

Do you have any antivirus software etc.. going at the same time? If so try shutting it off then see if that makes a difference!

Also one more thing... see if your CPU is being utilized when the computer is idle. Had a similar problem with a funky Intel graphics driver (Windows 8.1 though) causing CPU usage, which dropped my FPS by 20 or so.

I have the same problem, I don't have the best CPU, but reinstalling it didn't work. I have a FX 4100 and a GTX 660.
