Third – Activate BANKED premium time currently doesn’t work– so if you have banked time and you were going to activate it today you’re going to have to wait for the HOT FIX!

Please follow your own advise.
It clearly states that the activation button doesn't work, and for those who want to activate premium time simply have to wait.
The new way showing and I quote: "Remaining" under "Premium Time" is something entirely different.
It is not stated in the release notes that never-activated-premium-time is shown as zero.

It never did show you before how much time was banked up. You had to click on "Activate Premium Time" to be told how much you even had.
So I'm leaning into the direction that "remaining time" shows you how much time is left of activated premium time...

There is a fix coming in to restore functionality to that Activate button, so that you can all activate your Premium time.
Thanks for the feedback.

Well, I can see why someone makes that assumption.
But, seeing as we never had a "Remaining" indicator before, I can also understand the assumption of topicstarter.
Thanks for confirming, FullMetalGC.

There was an indicator telling you how much time was left. The format was days and would be displayed right next to the activate button after activation of premium time.

Topicstarter states he didn't activate his premium time.
Is it so hard for you to imagine his situation and doubts?

Patch notes just said you couldn't activate premium time yet. I wasn't sure if that still had anything to do with the counter.
