i click on store, i click on battle mechs, it brings up a crap load of mechs, but it doesn't show what they have.....absolutely no info other than their price....i've tried double clicking, i've tried right clicking, i've tried hovering the cursor like in my mechlab.....nothing. i can't buy a new mech without seeing what gear it has!

On the good ui all you had to do was left click the mech once and it listed the weapons, the hardpoints, the engine type etc.

Well you asked how you can buy a mech in your topic description.
Other than that, yes they need to fix that. Atm the only way is to go to smurfy's and check the loadout there.

No, you dont need to go to smurfy, you can see complete info from all mechs without exit the game. Better and easy go to mechlab, select "purchable mechs" (in the top menu) and voila... you have all mechs listed, classified by rol and with the full info avaible. Much better now that in the 1.0 UI (and with new info like pitch and yaw or accel).

People, the new UI 2.0 is better in every aspect, you only need get used to the new menu. In a few days you forget the old one.

You don't see the engine, you don't see equipment. All you can see there is Hardpoints (but not where) and Weapons (again but not where).

evidently you have poor taste, and must not have played very much before the update.

Not quite - as the layout for finding what equipment is on a particular mech takes more clicks now than before.
(if only 1-2 clicks - it still adds up, and all the moreso the more mechs you have)

However that will probably change when/if they add a Smurfy-like interface.
