One of the primary arguments I see about the new UI is that it's a chore to get anywhere. You have to click through too many submenus to access what you really want. One way to streamline this is to create shortcuts or hotkeys that allow players to quickly fly through the options and get to what they want to do. Basically it will be a lot of little stuff that adds up over time.

Some examples:
  • Click mechlab, then hit enter and it automatically pulls up your default selected mech to configure. Hitting Enter a second time will open up the loadout submenu.
  • When you're in one of these submenus such as loadout or modules and select enter, you are activating the checkout menu button. So you hit enter, the "do you want to purchase this" comes up, you hit enter again and it goes through. For the sake of integrity, you could make MC purchases have "cancel" as the default button that gets pressed when you hit enter.
  • double clicking an item or module will purchase and place it in the correct slot.
  • Clicking Play now and then hitting enter will launch you into the previously selected game mode. (Currently cancel is activated)

Suggested keyboard shortcuts in feedback for UI 2.0, but this and most of the other feedback from other testers overlooked.
