#1. Will there be some sort of zoom when firing in battle. I hope not as the view is from the cockpit and not through scope. Unless there is some sort of helmet mounted intagrated system that one can work up too.
#2. Will there be some sort of target lock to let the pilot know where his target is. Please do not install an auto aimer. Let the pilot do the work.

2) You can lock targets...unknown how long it shows where they are once out of sight though, probably need scouts to stay "eyes on". This doesn't track them, or aim for you, just highlights them and shows their damage etc.

Afaik, from the info posted on 4chan zoom got added in the latest patch however im not too sure how it was implemented in the terms you have specified.
Personally i do not want any "lock-on" in any form, i want the kills to be 100% from my effort.
Sounds like someone has been breaking their NDA...

I'm guessing most calculations, if not all, are done server-side so people in Aus like me will hate the auto-aimer anyways and probably never use the function.
It also takes some of the immersion from the game, although the independant movement may be interesting for new players

One idea that may be useful is all information like reticle for aiming is server generated so you don't get a lag-time when rotating and firing? You will nkow where your aimer is server-side all the time and won't get those moments going "Wait, my reticle was over him but I shot at a 90 degree angle to my left... WTH?!"
Edit: Actually, some form of lock feature may be necessary for missile systems... not sure about that one

People tend to not listen to things like NDA's when they have anonymity to hide behind. From what i saw in the threads there was no in game screenshots or anything just discussion about gameplay etc.
