According to PGI previously, this is "working as intended" Its the magic ELO number that involves random dice rolling and plastromancy. Several hundred tons of mech, which while technically equal to several Atlases, matters much less than the ELO equivalency.

As soon as I saw this thread I thought let me guess pre-made brought firestarters. With everyone and their mother wanting to play the thing, this is just something we're going to see. We had a drop where we had 6 of them, and we were out tonned HEAVILY. Still managed to pull it out lol.


Edit don't blame matchmaking for the DC. EVEN if that DC was an atlas it would still only be 645 vs 890. However very winnable.

last night most of the skirmish games (40-50) were COMPLETELY unbalanced crap, one of the teams was full of 6-8lights and the other team was full of trial assaults, so on either side it was just boring to play with an Ilya or Cat etc, cause lights on ur team = roflstomped enemy or the other way around lights on enemy = u get overrunned... its not that i cant get rid of 1-2 maybe 3 lights, but not if a horde runs around throwing with air/arty strikes and u just cant hit them because of the shitty hitboxes. of course currently some Embers around, but the main problem are people that use spiders, they know this problem and just love to troll people cause in a direct combat with same weightclass they would never succed and its their only chance to do some dmg.

and btw thx for a trial lrmboat, now its even more funny if u got a 3-4player lrm premade +2-3 stk-3f.... in addition to the ecm nerf its sometimes very dark in the sky and dont tell me the hide/ecm/ams fairy, some maps have very less space to cover, ecm is useless since narc is buffed and if u are the only person using ams or at least 2-3 beside u, a volley of 120-250lrm just HITS HARD.

so hey lets all run in lights faster than 140 with jj's so the lrm and other stupid normal players cant hit us, oh wait, why not call it bugwarrior vs boatwarrior

This is why I'm playing assault/conquest, for the time being. Although In my Ember/Jenner/KTO/Raven 3L/Treb 7K even, I have not had an issue taking out an Ember or anything. Also I'm not having an issue getting mauled either lol.

Look, the matchmaker is bugged like a Spider on crack. I know that, you know that, we all know that. The Developers...well, their telemetry and spreadsheets and reports and magic 8 balls and fortune cookies say that it's working as intended.

And there you have it. It's working as intended. Remember that. When you end up on a team with 6 trial mechs in 3PV mode and players asking "how do I move forward?"....when you end up getting roflstomped 12 to 2 eight matches in a row....when you see the same person disconnecting over and over and over again......

It's working as intended.

Think about that for a second, it'll hit you eventually. They WANT it to work like this.

.....And now, we figure out that our Stats (maps, modes, etc) are all bugged. For those of us that have played THOUSANDS of Assault and Conquest maps, we're now being given credit for about as many Skirmish maps that we've played since it came out.

Huh.

So...even though we don't know the magic formula of how ELO is calculated...one would think that games played, wins/losses, kills/deaths would have SOMETHING to do with it.....and it's boned because the stats are boned.

Yep. Working as intended, indeed.
