will we get to see more Inner sphere mechs like the

MAULER

ZEUS

HATAMOTO-CHI

anytime soon?

or is the plan to just dedicate the developing team to go for clan mechs until 2015? i'd like to know, i like that the clans are finally getting some love but there are a few iconic IS mechs that are still to make an appearance :)!

Can't find the quote, but the devs have said IS mechs will keep coming. So you can keep hoping for your favourite mechs to arrive.

Their art team has demonstrated the ability to produce 2 mechs a month. Assuming the clan pack gets delivered on time, they're going to have a ton of artistic horsepower, with a sizable buffer of completed clan mechs.

My bet is that we'll get 4 clan mechs dropped on on the cbill market in june, with the next 4 months unlocking 1 clan mech from the buffer, AND 1 new IS 'mech being created. That leaves them producing 1 more mech every month to either rebuild the buffer, or go into the next package deal.

Why do people keep coming up with these threads? There has been a new mech every month since early in closed beta. They will run out at some point, then they might just get creative.

Mauler won't be anytime soon, as there are not enough variants for it.

its also got 4x ac-2's as primary weapons or as i think of it an ac-8, rate of fire .52/second or 32 damage in 2.08 seconds or 62 damage in 4.16 seconds. people who see no problem with this will cite all that damage is not done to the same location. but we know the truth.

I imagine there will continue to be IS mech releases. It's a friggin war after all, isn't it?

And yes, PGI's art* and 3D modeling team is badass. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

*except the dude who came up with the cockpit glass idea. He needs to be TKed, or at least legged.

Before a couple weeks ago it was expected that we'd get 2 more IS mechs other than the Sabres before June. The Firestarter came about 2 months earlier than anyone expected, so now it's believed we will get 3 chassis we don't know about before the clans.

Clan mechs are being approached by PGI as a sort of 'alternate play style' mech rather than a top tier mech, so they'll probably focus on omnis for a while to even out the overall numbers. For the foreseeable future after June I think we'll only get clan mechs until the community is ready for a timeline shift. Who knows.. Some time next year we might be talking about jumping to 3067.

It's also got a similar profile as the Awesome. Fair trade in my opinion. Besides, how is this any different from the Jager-dd or the Cataphract-4x? They can mount the same ballistic firepower and move way faster.

Way more armor, ammo, heat sinks and room for 2 energy weapons.

There are already quad AC2 mechs out there, I don't see why this would be a big deal.

In fact, one of the Jagers can tote 6.

Read the very first post of this thread right here. We've long broken down what we're likely to see released.

We probably won't see any mediums for awhile.

Just Lights, Heavies and Assaults.

One light we know of and is still planned is the Flea.

That leaves us with 2 possible light mechs. One of which is most probably the Javelin since we got the Firestarter this time.

Heavies are tougher as there aren't many good ones left to go with. My guesses are the Grasshopper and Guillotine.

Assaults have lots of options. Most likely two are the Banshee and the Zeus. After that it boils down to what could be the third one with the most likely option going to the Cyclops.

because at 90 tones its got more tonnage for armor, HS, ammo than the Jager. The ac-2 is broken and has been since PGI adjusted rates of fire more then 2 years ago.

That's a pretty poor listing. Not at all organized. Below are all the mechs that have the time wise variants to be in Mechwarrior Online (Unseen Harmony Gold excluded):

Lights - Mercury, Thorn, Mongoose, Falcon, Firefly, Hermes, Hussar, Javelin, Urbanmech, Wolfhound

Mediums - Assassin, Clint, Hermes II, Sentinel, Vulcan, Whitworth, Hatchetman, Vindicator, Wyvern, Crab, Enforcer, Hoplite

Heavies - Champion, Grand Dragon, Lancelot, Crusader, Exterminator, Grasshopper, Guillotine, Black Knight

Assaults - Charger, Hatamoto-Chi, Thug, Zeus, Crockett (Katana), Shogun, Cyclops, Banshee, Annihilator, Imp, King Crab, Mackie.

So as you can see they have a lot of mechs to choose from. Though you could go down each of those lists and give individual reasons why you wouldn't or would see something. We do that every day in this thread (of which the opening post breaks it down the best).

I already broke down which Clan mechs we are likely to see. Here are the lights and the other weight classes.

Hope this helps.
