Or at least make it user configurable.

On my 27 inch high-res monitor it's so small I can barely read the Mech loadout details. It need to be about double what it presently is. This is the first game I've played where I have trouble reading the config screens.

Bonus points if you use a more legible font - something with serifs - and upper and lower case.

Brains read by looking initially at the overall shape of the words. The way you've designed the UI, each word is a rectangular block. So our brains then have to process each letter at a time to spell out the word. That will give people headaches or at the very least fatigue... something you want to avoid if you want us to keep playing for long hours.

Cannot more agree. This is actually my biggest beef with the new UI. I play the game on a 55 inch flat screen, and I can't read anything. I sit about ten feet back from the TV, and when I'm in the mechlab I have to stand up and walk up to the screen to see what ammo type is in the legs because of the small size of the font. The font size should be at least two sizes larger than what it is now.

They need to change a whole lot on UI2.0 if they want people to play for long hours. The metagame today is to start a match as quickly as possible and to avoid the mechlab at all cost. I've never seen people launch a new match when the previous one ended.

Good feedback though on the font. Even on 22" 1680x1050 it's kinda strange. What I do give them props for is that the font is sharper than what they had with UI 1.5

This is a HUGE Usability issue. PLEASE address this, developers.

I sure hope they do something about it sooner rather than later. I hate having to stand up and walk up to the TV to see what the heck is on the mech. It's more than annoying, it's actually making the lab portion of the game less than usable.

The worst part is not knowing if they are going to do something about it... haven't seen a word on fonts except the complaints.

Would hope this could be a quick fix, but is probably best ignored in the UI feedback thread rather than ignored here. ;)

I think PGI should ship complimentary carrots with every package of 3000MC and more.

It is not the size of your monitor; it is your resolution. PGI has optimized this for 640x480

1080p is not allowed.
