I just wanted to post some pics of the Batttletech we play on our custom "battleboard". It measures 6' x 8' and uses 4" wide styrofoam hexes. That may seem a bit big, but we tend to have plenty of room. We use a light green pipe cleaners for light woods hexes, and a dark green for heavy woods hexes. For hills, we use 1" floral foam cut to hexes. For the pics included, we recreated the basic starting map, centering the water in the middle of the map, and went outward from there. Since all the terrain is "modular" the map is completely different each time we play.

Please disregard the unpainted plastic mini's. I'm in the process of assembly/painting of some of the Ironwind Metal mini's. I'll post some pics of those, in play, at a later date. Any suggestions/ comments are appreciated!
