Hi everyone!
I was not able to resist and bought this one during the 50% offer.
Now I'm testing around through try and error with loadouts.
This is what I'm using atm:

Its ok...but ... I think I waste potential. My VTR-9B, Ac20, 2 LL, 2 Streaks works better....at least I have that subjective feeling.
So, after some re-thinking I came up with that one:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...6437df6b21313b5
I saw some builds with lots of PPCs....but I have to admit....I don't like that playstyle. I have the feeling it is getting out of hand. 2-3 PPCs + Gauß seems to become kind of "standard" loadout, which results in static sniper-duel matches.......booooring.
To my playstyle: I mastered jenners and dragons, so I get used to faster mechs. Thats why I put in a XL360. I don't have speed tweak yet, but 72.9 KPH feels way better than....60...something. After my first 10 painful matches with the 9B I adapted to the fact, that I now pilot a huge, relatively slow (but not too slow) steel-bag.
What do you think? Are those builds...kind of viable or should I toss them? Should I try to add 1 or 2 more jumpjets? (e.g. 1st build: change 2xmpls with 2 Mls, add 2 JJs, 2nd build: change 2xsrm4 by 1srm6, add 1 JJ....) Did I place ammo in the mech' correctly?
Well....the Dragon Slayer

Seems a waste not to use that dual ballistic articulated arm.
Try AC-2 + AC+5(four tons ammo), 2x mlas, AMS, SRM10(two tons) + ER LLAS.
You can tweak SRM ammo, leg armor or SRM size to get your desired heat sink count.

You could also try UAC5 and AC2. I would keep a big energy in the left arm for sure.

I tried sth different: I know use 2 ac5 + 4t ammo, 2xsrm6 artemis + 2t ammo, 2x ml and I use the left arm as additional shield. It seems to work..... meeh.....but my victors still dont shine perfectly yet.....the way to unlock elite efficiencies takes really long.

It's up to you, but I suggest against going mini Highlander poptart meta-abuser. Put something unique in that, similar to your builds (though both need 4 groups.)

2 AC/5, 2 PPC + Standard Engine = Best Dragon Slayer; just soak all the damage into your dead side and make sure that you case any ammo stored there.

Thx for your advices. I will think about it for future builds / optimizations.
A Mini-Highlander (Mini-Metal) is already in progress. I got enough C-Bills for the 9K and will use Gauß + 3LLs on it, as soon as I can afford DHS and Endo-Steel. I need it anyway to unlock elite efficiencies.
A PPC DS....I might try that in Future, but ...like I said...I somewhat do not like that PPCs / Gauß combos are used more and more. I had enough PUGs were it ended in sniper duells. After running some matches....the 2 x AC5, 2 x Artemis SRM6, 2x ML, XL360 thing works pretty good, especially against those snipers and in close combat situations.
I reached a K/D ratio of 1.4, which may not be too bad. Funny: I have a WIN / LOOSE ratio of 0.43....lol.

I couldn't care less about DS. It's hardpoint distribution forces you to have 4 groups of weapons (unless you choose to ditch some of them), and in my experience the 4th group of weapon serves no purpose other than distraction for your brain to handle.
Not mentioning it can't mount AC20.
