How Do I Map My Joystick?

I want to change the default mapping for my joystick, but nothing seems to work.

I have a Logitech extreme 3d pro and I'm running Win7. I'd like to map torso twist to the joystick twist and use the x axis for leg steering. I'd also like to map the buttons (most don't seem to do anything at all - button 2 seems like it's set up as alpha strike).

I want to like this game. I can't get used to keyboard/mouse - maybe I'm too old and set in my ways or just have too much of how I used to play MW4 hardwired into me. Honestly, I don't see myself ever being able to pilot anything other than a landpig with the keyboard/mouse and I hate landpigs.

Am I missing something? Most settings screens I'm accustomed to allow you to change the mapping, but nothing is happening at all (except for when I inverted the throttle and pitch).

Any help would be appreciated.
