Hello,
First of all let me apologize if this is in the wrong section. I just joined the game and have finished the initial set of new user battles where you get extra C-Bills. Due to being new I am hoping that some of the below is just my misunderstanding. However I have a few bits of feedback regarding weird stuff after playing these initial games.

1. The mech lab is quite tedious to use. There seem to be a lot of people discussing so I will not repeat all the issues, but for a game that has been around for a long time now and is not "beta" it is very disappointing.

2. Matchmaking seems to balance teams very oddly. In the majority of matches it is a complete win by one side or the other. On the scale of 12-2 or 1-12. Not that I do not like the wins, but its not very fun to just bulldoze some other team, and its definitely not fun when it happens to you!

3. Why does the team selection put the ECM units on only 1 side sometimes? Or why have I gotten matches with me in a trial assault mech + a whole bunch of lights. The match isnt fun when it is 2 assault + 10 lights.

4. I played BT as a kid, and always in those games light mechs like the Locust were basically glass cannons. Sure they move fast, but if you get hit its a BIG problem. In this version light mechs seem to have more power than an Atlas. That seems very, very wrong.

5. AMS appears to fire through hills and buildings. I was in a map with a tunnel and shot LRMs from the Stalker trial mech, and some AMS from enemies in the tunnel shot them down. That is clearly broken and I would hope had been fixed before "releasing" the game thus far.

6. Gameplay feels very much like just another FPS with everyone looking like a battle mech. I see people running around in circles, jumping up and down behind rocks and shooting in the air, and things like the AMS issue I mentioned above. I thought this was supposed to be more true to actual mech combat, not just another generic FPS

Overall, after completing my 20 or whatever new user matches, I am genuinely disappointed in this game. I have not purchased any MC yet for real money, and I dont think that it is justified for me to do so at this point.

Hopefully this feedback is used constructively as I am a long time BT fan, and would love a modern simulator. But in the current state there is much to be desired.

1 - yup. 100+ clicks to reload the weapons and armour on a mech is batcrap crazy.

2 - That happens. Some sort of ELO'ing error with UI2.0?

3 - Buggered if I know.

4 - Locusts die to a mean look. It's Spiders and Firestarters that seem to have the main issues with immortal lights.
You may be seeing Cicadas in game and thinking they're Locusts?
Or maybe Locusts have got a live-longer flaw now?
It'd be nice for my Locust to live more than a few seconds after being spotted.

5 - Haven't heard that before.. while bad, mildly funny.
There are also people who hide in the blind spot behind big mechs in lights with AMS to take out missiles as they launch to be trolls.

6 - It's not quite an FPS, but it's more FPSy than previous mech games I agree.
I think it's to appeal to a modern audience.

And I totally agree on a lot of points.
This game should not be classed as released.
If it's still in development, then it is not a finished product.

And I agree, after playing my intial, I bought no MC, and I only bought a small amount of MC recently, so I can purchase more Mechbays and to get some half-price paint so my mechs weren't green anymore.

I doubt I'll put anymore money in, apart from maybe to get more mech bays in a few months time, but the 6 I can afford atm will keep me tied over for AGES.

Sorry, I did not mean just Locusts. Looks like a lot of light mechs. I know I have seen a bunch of Spiders as you mention but also Ravens and Commandos. But if your Locust dies easily, isnt that even MORE imbalanced that some of these others run around forever as if they are in god mode? I could even imagine an issue with "all light mechs" but just mech 1 and mech 2, but not mech 3? Thats wacky.

Oh definately.
But I think that the hard ones should die as easily as my Locust does.

Speed is what keeps me alive.
Sure I'd like to last a few seconds longer when I'm being shot at - it might give me chance to escape and try again.
But the same should apply to others.

The stories of people shoooting at powered down Spiders with AC/10s and 20's, doing no damage, is crazy.
