Can't wait for my trusty, rusty Bushwacker <3

Well good luck waiting for that. You may as well ask for a Blood Asp.

I do wonder when we'll get the first IS Omni.

Hell, I may even get the Hauptmann...

IS get Rotary and whole lot of fancy tech. so be happy once clan tech comes out pgi can start working on your new fancy smancy IS tech that's suppose to compete with clan tech power wise. not to mention IS never stopped producing new mechs.

yea....clan tech gets balanced real quick by later release of is tech. thunderhawk, annihilator, devastator, fafnir, templar. heavy gauss, rotary ac, mass amounts of GR. yea is xl engines are a weakpoint, but the is assaults almost always had massive amounts of armor to boot too.
oh and for the most part they are ballistic heavy, so not much threat of over heating.

very easy balance i can see to clan tech beyond the fact the devs are going to add a small nerf to every clan weapon in game, is making them a little more costly to repair, say 20% more.

Peoples, remember until they actually do a timejump, we are at 3050/51 (whatrever they reset it to this day of the week).

Therefore, technology and mechs available are in this era (They may change the function (ie, Guardian effectively being Angel + stealth armour)), however, all the stuff is from this era.

Please remember this when making suggestions.

There are just some practical limits on how quickly they can add new mechs. Making a figurine and a record sheet is realivly easy for a table top game. For a computer game you have to make it move around. Every mech they add will increase the size of the game files needed. At some point add more mechs is simply adding more eye candy rather then adding to game play value.

From my own review of many of the designs in the technical manuals where more flavor in appearances then any real solid functional differences in game play . It was to show a mech was designed by a particular faction again rather then having functional difference in game play.

According to NGNG Podcast #103: Bryan Ekman Part 3
they will go to a 1 clan + 1 IS mech schedule starting June for atleast the 8 months it takes to release the clan pack mechs.

I predicted this a while back but was told that they were counting hero mechs as separate mechs. So much for the wisdom of the forums ;).
