The crazy chaotic games i get with light mechs always seem to be the most fun.

I had gotten ripped apart a few times last night by light mech wolfpacks. One match I was swarmed by 2 Jenners and 2 Embers. Yea, they are brutally effective when coordinated together. Unfortunately I was running my Shadowhawk 2H with all ballistics, so hitting circling light mechs was all but impossible.

I can't help but run ballistic weps on a Shad. Its like not having a gauss on a HGN. Though when you do hit with a ballistic weapon shell its SO satisfying isn't it?

Yes sir, it is satisfying. I have been running this setup with 2 A/C2s and 1 A/C5 or 1 UA/C5 (depending on what I feel like). Great for laying into heavy or assault mechs (and some mediums), not so good for battling lights.

I only know of three solutions for this particular malady:
Streaktaro
Streakhawk
Oxide
Watch these little SOBs flee for their lives.

I would also add the Swayback. Not as effecteve as a streak machine, but light mech legs don't like 6 and then 3 MLasers to the legs.

Why do you rarely target the mechs you are fighting?

Lightpacks are generally bad when they run through your group which sets up collision warps for the next 30 seconds and you watch in despair as your precious ammo disappears into the space where the little ****** used to be before Jack triggered the Jughead and time shifted again. Then just when things settle down, they charge through your group again and the whole thing starts over. This is actually one of the best ways to level Locusts. Run a bunch of them together and it almost makes them dangerous in a Klingon Bird-Of-Prey cloaked kind of way. At least until that one ac-20 round ends the party...

We need the urban mech a jumping ac 20 assassin mech to provide that heavy fire support to the brother lights
