[Jonny Slam]

So I am looking to buy another mech, and when I go to the store it shows all the mechs but hovering over one or clicking doesn't show me the mech's specs.

That seems like a crazy oversight, or am I doing something wrong?

It is one of a number of bugs. To check for mech loadouts before buying, you need to enter the mechlab (top bar), and select a filter that displays purchasable mechs (top left bar). When you hover over them in the mechlab, their specs magically appear.
