Whoever said "speed is your armor" was a bit off the mark.

"Driving faster than is sane and anyone's eyes let alone frame rate can manage to track well is your armor" is more like it.

Or, as I prefer, "Sanity is ablative".

Those little buggers are fast.

I remember seeing Commandos running around with LRM5s stuck on them. Those were hilarious days. The days of the CPLT90, and blinking across the map because of lag.

I just wish I had *just*one*more* ton on the 3A. The 3A wasn't bad, really - but short on SSRM ammo. TDK has been, oddly, my strongest performing mech to date - and I managed to fit in AMS.

The 2D has ECM, so you can't really complain. I ran it a bit slower, to fit in the ammo.

Not that strange. The Knell is perhaps the deadliest 'Mando. Also, excellent Firestarter practice.

I absolutely love my commandos. The 3a is my fav but you can run the same build on the 1d like posted above. I just wish the locust played like the commando.

I loved the 3A (though I seem to do better on TDK) - but I want one more ton. The empty arm on the 1D means (I think) that I can strip it and fit in the weight.

God, how silly would it be to have a 4th Commando?

I think you chose correctly with the 3A. Commandos tend to lose an arm often during battle and having both lasers in one arm can be a liability.

I think you chose correctly with the 3A. Commandos tend to lose an arm often during battle and having both lasers in one arm can be a liability.

That's why I went with the 3A. Also the missile points aren't as flexible, if you like SRM's then you can do more things with the 3A variant.

Haven't seen your build, Macksheen, but if you use an XL235 you lose a little bit of speed, but get enough free weight for that extra ton of ammo.
Do you have 1/2 a ton just sitting empty now? I'm guessing that you might.
