I have had a one year break from playing MWO. Now coming back I am surprised that MWO client STILL doesn't support paste of password from Windows clipboard.

What is up with this? Is password paste support planned at all?

I never understood the reasoning behind this method, and it used to drive me absolutely crazy whan I worked in L2 support for "The Borg".

You have a password for security reasons.

By having that password anywhere on your machine, you completely circumvent any additional security having a PW was supposed to provide in the first place...

But for all I care implement it, it`s not my account that risks being compromised...

There is still no support for pasting password even in UI 2.0.
I'll try to explain why this feature is important.
Many people, me for example, keep they random, high security, differing passwords in special program - password manager. Using password manager you can select password record, copy it to clipboard and then paste. Simple and fast. No need to remember complicated sequences of letters and number.
I am sure than devs do know about such software and absence of support of password pasting looks very odd.
Moreover every mature MMO supports such a feature. WOW and WOT are the examples.
