Soo i used to use the clasic build 3 LL + GAUSS +STREAKS but now since they add charge to the gauss,i don't really like the gauss and i changed for and AC/10,now the question is: is there another good build for the metal without gauss ?

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...9a90a182d865451 "The Aroaklypse" Because i refuse to be a Dual ppc gaus meta ***** ;)

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...fe6e696e7ca3096 "The Riff" For a build with an Ac/10 an lbx works well with this as well if you swap out for two larges and use them to melt armor then crit seek with the LBX

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...cb74a0f2b042f8e Also "Steel Rain" if you want to take more of a ranged support role

I may have to give the gauss rifle a shot (pun intended) those numbers are pretty enticing

Haven't tried this yet but what about this?

Looks pretty beefy and pretty mobile.. heat may be a problem though, I can't remember what smurfy's heat scale represents in game.

Isn't the current HM meta 2x PPC + 2x UAC5?

3 LL, 1 LBX with a 330 standard plays pretty well. You can get it up to a 1.4 heat efficiency which makes up for the heatscale on the 3LL...

That sounds pretty meta...I'm not a fan of UACs though. I guess I could try swapping out the 3LLs for 2 PPCs...

No. Can't fit two Ultras. Only 9 slots. 1UAC5/1AC5 the most you can do. And no AC/20.

HM can't fit 2 UAC/5s, otherwise I'd have AC/20 on mine. Most run a UAC/5+AC/5 combo or 2 AC/5s.

No. People run XLs in HGNs. I tried it and while it's not Stalker or Atlas ridiculous, it gives up way to much durability for my tastes. And it's not like you're ever going to actually be fast.

I use this Almost stock
I try XL but every time lose side torso.
With STD i just lose side torso and still can do 15 or 39 dmg.
This build is some kind of JJclosecombat, and in early game u can shoot some gauss.

Interesting.. well I'm gonna try my build with an XL 325 when I get off work tonight, see if it is mobile enough with speed tweak to avoid bad situations... Will report back with numerous side torso deaths I'm sure.

Not gonna lie guys, I really liked the 3xLL, 2xAC5, 2xSRM4, XL 325. Good firepower, and great mobility for an HGN (64.3 kph with tweak). I was able to get away from bad situations that I would get myself into if I stopped concentrating which was really nice. I only had a chance to play one game and I was killed by CT I believe. The damage was so spread out though its hard to say, all 3 torsos were critical so a STD would not have helped me even if it was a side torso death. So anyway I suggest trying this out. Its also easy to swap 2 PPCs for the 3LLs if that tickles your fancy.
