Ok, so I've had a wee problem since a couple of days ago. When I try to launch into a game, I get to the screen showing which map I'm loading into, but then I get a black screen. After around a minute or two of this the game finally loads. Now this I could deal with, however since around 3 hours ago, when I load I have huge lag. Like totally unplayable. I have no problems with other games and the like, so I doubt its my connection.
So I tried reinstalling, which did nothing. Then I tried the repair tool. Since that, the game gets stuck on the black screen like before, but never loads at all.
The strangest thing is, one of my lancemates is having the exact same problem. We drop at the same time, both have black screens for the same duration, then have the same amount of lag.
Anyone have any ideas?

I'm afraid not. I've been having the same problem on and off since one of the patches a few months back. PGI have confirmed that the fault lies with the game. Last I spoke to support they said they had not found a client side fix for the problem yet.
So the best advice I can give is to keep trying what you can and hope the problem corrects itself.

Well, that's a tad disheartening. Anyway thanks for the response. Hopefully PGI figure this out sooner or later.

do you see a ! in your system tray after?display driver has stopped working and recovered
are you amd or nvidia?
to fix this on my amd 7770 i load old drivers 13.1 and i used overdrive to up power 2% and i lower my clock speeds to 900 and 1100ish from the default 1100 1250 speeds ( my mb is ddr2 800).
i also tweak some setting by rt clicking my catalyst icon in system tray select the #! card tho its a list of 6(i only have 1)and adjusting 3d settings there

Nothing in my system tray, no mention of driver errors or anything. I'm running an Ati R9 290. I'll give your suggestion a go and seem what happens.
