Just isn't worth it to me yet though, without knowing more about the games business model.

WoT is a nice game if you like arcade tank shooter. MWO is more of a sim and brings a whole lot different game play than say and arcade game would. In addition MW games have different play style. I use Hotas Warthog with rudders that give me unbelievable control over my mech. Not that you have to, just so you know that piloting mech is somewhat different than driving a tank. With some mechs like Jenner you can actually jump jet to certain place to stay out of reach or at least try to.
I just hate to compare MWO to WoT no contest. It's like comparing Ferrari to Ford Escort. Ferrari been MWO of course
In mech games and especially with MWO your load out can change your mech almost completely. Overheating, shutting down, terrain, speed, damage like losing weapon systems, info on the battlefield that is changing from minute to minute, etc. Lots of variables to consider in MWO before and during the battle.
This is why well piloted scout mech with custom load out can actually beat much heavier mech using speed and maneuverability. Even in open terrain I can still keep out of reach then hit and run repeat frustrate your opponent and so on even tell him something he won't like psychological warfare.
In WoT it is not so light tanks just die and are outclassed by heavy tanks not in MWO. Light mechs are just as useful as any and you can use them from day 1 to the very end of your game play. If I was in heavy mech I would love to have 1 scout with me as my eyes and ears on the battlefield and more.
In MWO you MUST use your head and fast too if you want to win or at least survive.
In MWO you can't just hide and sit in 1 place and shoot you just die fast. You have to move and there is almost no place to hide at least not for long. You have to be constantly changing strategy, tactics and work with your team. I think teamwork is the biggest strength playing any MW multiplayer game or any game for that matter.
Often new players go for assault or heavies thinking more firepower more damage and survivability but that's not so in MW games. In multiplayer when you find yourself surrounded by scouts in a heavy mech you're dead before you can say oh !@@$@$.
Judging from the info that is available about MWO looks to me like a classic MW sim many of us been waiting for so long.
Sorry for all this writing but I couldn't resist.
PS. Can't wait for MWO...

The reason being it has a GREAT selection of hardpoints which I can use to make the 'Mech perfect. I'm thinking....Gauss Rifle, 2 ER PPCs, 2 Medium Lasers, 1 LRM 20....provided I can get some Endo Steel in there.
Also I don't think I'm going to be very good at piloting in the beginning. SO being able to hang back and pound something sounds good to me!

Then I was torn between the Altas and the Hunchback.
Ultimately I'm a sucker for the Atlas.
Though personally if the options were there, I'd have loved the Vuture, Mad Cat and Masakari.
