I would rather have a 95-tonner to fill in the Assault gap.

Why do we need a 45 ton jump mech when we have a 45 ton jump mech? If anything we need this:

The Vulcan makes more sense sure. We have a 40 ton non jump jetting mech in the Cicada but we already have a 45 ton jump jetting one in the Black Jack. Of course the Vindicator brings missiles and energy where as the Vulcan brings ballistics and energy. Same reasoning for Assassin, 40 ton with JJ.

Honestly, a new assault would be even more interesting. But mediums are fantastic things ;)

4L Vindicator would be interesting, higher engine cap possibly and ECM... not sure if that's going to "improve" the game overall though. Maybe once tonnage limits/balancing comes into play...

So there's a possibility of having a new Medium AND an Assault.

I am okay with this.

I LOVE vindi's, but I have to say, I will be upset if they bring out yet another medium in an already crowded Medium Market.

A heavy or assault will be nice at this point given that if you include the Wolvies and Griff's, that weight class already has more then 50% more options then the others.

I would rather see a Grasshopper, Ceaser, Banshee, or Cyclops at this point rather then the Vindi. Even though I love the Vindicators.

Guillotine, Zeus, Cyclops, Banshee myself.

I'm hoping for a new assault, specifically, a jumpjetLESS assault. We have 3 options in my opinion. The Zeus (an awesome that doesn't suck), the Thug (which would be a beast) and the Hatamoto-Chi (also would be beastly as well).

I'd be happy with a medium aswell. More mechs is always good.

Thug and Hatamoto-Chi are essentially the same aren't they? Well, the Hatamoto-CHi is partially based on the Thug and something else.

A Thug is a Warhammer without legal issues. A Hatamoto-Chi is a Charger with weapons. I'd prefer either over yet another medium, but the Thug is immensely more appealing to me than almost any other non-assault mech, just because it would get us a Warhammer in MWO!

Because all IS 45 tonners available in 3051 except for the Wolf Trap have jump jets. The Wolf Trap has only one variant at the time anyway.

Hatchetman (melee weapon, only two variants available)
Blackjack (We have of course)
Phoenix Hawk (HG so forget about it)
Vindicator
Wolf Trap (AKA fail CN-9D, one variant)
Wyvern (Only two timeline available variants)

So guess which 45 ton 'Mech we get next? When they decide to release it. What 'Mech they release next is anyone's guess.

I get that. What I'm saying, though, is that we don't have a non-might as well be a Light mech 40 tonner. Then again, you don't have a lot with which to work. You really only have:

Assassin
Cicada
Clint
Hermes
Sentinel
Vulcan
Whitworth

We have the Cicada and the Clint, Hermes II, and Sentinel aren't any different than the bug. That really leaves the jump capable Assassin, which is just a 40 ton Light, and the Vulcan and Whitworth. Honestly, I'd love to see the Vulcan or Whitworth as they're both drastically different from anything available.

With tonnage limits incoming in April - I'm certain that this is intentional. After all - any medium is a hair less than your share of your team's tonnage - so you're likely to always be able to play your favorite medium.

Anything bigger than 60 tons or so (going by the tentative numbers) - and you're using both your share of the team's tonnage - and part of someone else's share.

Come on, it was a joke. It's not like they'd give us two mechs with the same name...

At first glance, the Vind looks like a retro- sci-fi style Megaman. I will paint mine two-tone blue.

Meh. Already have the Blackjack. I'd rather have a Shadowcat with LBX that is worth the tonnage.

JJing, 125kph MASCing, 2 SSRM6 and a few laser light hunting?
