Hello everyone. I know this might be coming out of nowhere, but I need your help with my research for my (first!) short 3D animation project. It’s about a post-apocalyptic war fought with giant robots!
I will be very grateful if you can spare some time to help fill in the survey. it’s only 18 simple questions.

Currently I am referring to other mech games like Armored Core, some in Battletech and various other artwork in regards of the mech design. I’m not sure how it will turn out, but here is one of the rough design I came up with. Any opinion and thoughts?

Best of luck! Keep us posted.
Outside of BattleTech, I'm a huge fan of the Landmate hardsuits from Appleseed.

Done!
Also, for me sci-fi is more appealing when things seem like they could "work" (ofcourse, most couldnt):
- Think of James Cameron "Aliens", the gears of the soldiers are futuristic, but seem plausible, not too flashy, but advanced.
- BT also has a sense of realism with logistics and damage, and stuff like that - mechs are essencially walking tanks
If it is post apocaliptic and has mechs.. how would a future combat scenario work out? well, what "I" would do, is think of mechs in WW2 (that is correct, WW2): How would an "allied" mech fare against a Tiger Tank?* How would it fight? Would infantry have a fighting chance? How about air threats? A mech can fire back at a plane, a tank cant.
*I always felt that tanks were very underpowered in BT..
