Adv zoom was broken for too long that I simply am not used to playing with it...
I have it, can't be bothered to move it from mech to mech.... UI should be intuitive enough before I would bother

If you collect mechs you're going to have to transfer modules between mechs. The costs make it extremely prohibitive to keep modules to just the mech it was purchased for in the game.

On the Advanced Zoom demonstrations and in response to JiggilyMoobs.
Triple Gauss, advanced zoom Day. Poor Jager, man. Accompanied by Brawlander, Locust LPL Finisher, and Trial Dragon for a fourth Gauss and 'lure'. Note weakening enemies and then sending the Locust to quickly finish them in a single blow and pull back.
Triple Gauss, advanced zoom Night. Pugged.
Heavy Firepower Charger with advanced zoom. AC/10, triple MG, double Ac/2.
Bonus zooms.
Locust, AC/5 sharp shooter!
Locust, ER PPC sharp shooter!

I own 8 advanced zooms, 3 seismic, and only my missile boats possess advanced sensor range (handy for streak boats and lrm boats).
3 of each is a good minimum. At least 1 of each for a player within their first 3 months.
But with 91 mechs, it just isn't enough.

I would get in the habit of pulling out all modules out of the mechs you use.. It only takes a few seconds to pull them out.. I am also in the habit of removing engines as well, along with BAP.. Weapons i end up leaving as to rebuild from scratch takes a while... But to just pop in an engine, and 3 modules you can do that in like 30 secs.. well worth it.. Having to find a lost engine, or module if you own a lotta mechs can take a bit of time.
Because once you get used to using modules, you will hate it if you ever launch with out them..
then when you wanna run a mech, you have all modules ready.. if you swap mechs, it takes seconds to yank out the modules, and load um into a new mech.. maybe a min tops to swap if you are always removing all modules, verse only the ones you normally swap. Besides then you might be tempted to try a new combo, and it may work better for you
