This is the third time I got destroyed in an assault mech because of a half meter slope that was too steep for me to climb. Is there a way to change the way this mechanic works to sloping speed changes is also determined by the length of the slope? If my stride is longer than the entire slope, it shouldn't matter how steep it is. I can cover it in a single step.

HillClimb module is what should improve terrain handling on slopes or otherwise low obstacles that you get stuck on alot, but it doesn't, and no official word afaik about improving the module to make the 6,000,000 cb and 15,000 gxp investment worth it.

I would love to see this addressed. I don't think this is a recent thing, I think this has been since they first implemented it. I have a great way to change it too. Make it so the slope slow down doesn't take effect until one full stride of the mech has passed since the beginning of the slope. So if an assault mech would come to a stand still on the bottom of a slope ordinarily, then in this case it would make it 5m up the slope. It would stop this ridiculous hanging up on something that's smaller than the foot of the mech, and it would make sense too.
