Please add the ability to dump ammo and dump or shutdown the gauss rifle.

agreed. pressing ctrl-j when you have a weapon selected should jettison all ammo for that weapon.

I kind of want to see it happen automatically. You can't exactly select the AMS as a weapon, so there would be no way to jettison AMS ammo if your AMS is destroyed.

It could be both.

1) all weapons of one type are destroyed ---> mech automatically ejects ammo of that type
2) weapon is selected and you press ctrl-j ---> all ammo of that type is ejected.

You should be able to get rid of your ammo when it becomes a liability.
