I'd buy that

just wind the autocannon, and it makes music, then in 5-10 seconds, the Urbie's head pops open and the PUG springs out.

As much as it would have been great to see your design faithfully rendered, I had my doubts it would be. Its very intricate and a lot of people might not really get it. A dog with a helmet is pretty simple and you don't need to know the significance of the pug to enjoy it. That said youre totally justified in feeling dissapointed.

All this might have been made easier by a quick email from pgi stating they had changed it for whatever reason blah blah thank you for your work etc.

I would buy that too, but not sure if I would put it in my mech because it would be hard to fight while laughing my ass off.

if the helmet just said "world's greatest" instead of PUG, I would not have made a peep of complaint. Since you know... the "PUG" part was implied by it being a ......... (wait for it) ............................

Pug.

As another poster stated Bishop, you and Carrioncrow's entries were take my money now awesome.

To find out that that the cosmopug was a rehash of your idea is surprising as best. Seriously I thought that it was some one who suggested pug in neurohelmet. The rest were cute ideas that could be made quickly so PGI tossed them in. i just assumed that the winners are being worked on with more detail.

Either way aside from the fan, which is some thing I wanted, the rest are not what the winners put in, so my interest is lagging.

Note on jackin the pug urbanmech. That is cool. I think it should just be an urban mech bobble head, that bobbles at the waist. However when the mech shuts down due to over heat then the pug head comes popping out.

firstly.... thanks man!

And secondly, that is PERFECT! And saves the coding hassle of a sound bite, though it wouldn't hurt my feelings if it had the music. Well rendered, I bet that would be a tourney prize people would grind for, and probably pay some IRL cash on, too.
