Quick n00bie question: I own an Atlas RS with the piloting to Master Level. If I purchase an Atlas RS(C) do the same pilot/skills transfer over? If I buy the RS(C) and sell the RS do the pilot skills stay? Is there a reason to keep both the RS and the RS(C) if I already have two other Atlases?

Thanks for answering this base question.

The pilot/skills will also apply to the Champion mech. It is the same chassis. I typically don't sell mechs, but if you have the RS champ, there's no real reason to keep the RS unless you want to be able to quickly switch to a different loadout.

The champion RS is the exact same as he normal RS and they share the same skilltree. So yes, If you have mastered one, the other will alos be mastered.

But...

Why do you want to buy a champion RS, if your normal RS is already fully mastered? The champion RS will only earn XP faster, but as the mech is already fully mastered, this XP will only pile up and be wasted. Do you plan to later convert the XP to GXP with MC?

What happens to the experience once I earn the 21.5k to get the extra slot on all 3 Atlases? It doesn't auto transfer to GXP I take it? I would probably transfer some for cash until I open up all the modules I wanted and I figure they will keep putting out new modules over time.

I thought there was alos a 10% C bill boost? Or was I mistaken. He could just play the RS enough that he want to make a little more money.

Just checked it is only a 10% XP boost :D
I thought I was making slightly more money with my champion this whole time, thats a bummer.

Yeah, you continue to accrue XP after you master mechs.

The extra XP sits there and it costs 1 MC to convert 25 XP to GXP. Or wait till they put a sale on for double conversion, 50.

You do gain more XP, but no, it will not be converted to GXP automatically. If you want that to happen, you have to invest MCs. 1 MC per 25 XP converted (or 50 XP when it is on special offer). You can convert a lot of XP for the MCs cost of one champion Atlas.

I'd think carefully about spending money, so you can spend money faster.

I'll be gratefull for every dollar you spend on the game as it enables others to play for free, but you should spend it wisely. Unless you have so much money, you don't know where to put it... in that case I'd be able to provide you with the number of a bank account..... :D

Again, thanks for the quick replies. I just figured if I was going to keep a mech and play it only for exp transfer, it would be better to have a 30% bonus, but I see your point about spending dollars so I can spend dollars.

They do the 50xp/1mc several times a year. That and mech bays are what I use MC for.

Every time you gain XP, you also gain 5% of that amount in GXP. Thus a 10% XP boost would also boost your base GXP earnings.

However, the bulk of your XP will remain attached to that specific variant. You can convert it via MC, but I recommend if you're going do that then wait for a double conversion sale.
