With no matchmaking system in place...
or community warfare that actually involves the community
or any sense of development direction other than attacking your wallet.
and an ever shrinking community fed up with waiting for promised features
and a growing crowd of meta build players that troll pugs and discourage new players from playing. Yes, I am going to run a tournament..

That being said I am announcing a tournament for players sick of it.
The Broken Game Tourney!

The rules will be.

1. You will be given an odd Mech build, drawn randomly prior to the match beginning
All players will compete with this same build
How odd? (AS7D, 200 Standard, 1 Medium laser)

2. Modules, Expendables and ECM are not allowed

3. Single Elimination Skirmish mode, Last Mech's standing advance.

You know that this sub-forum, where you posted, is for official events?

You know that we have fan made tournaments running nearly all the time? Don't believe me, look at the Fansite / Jumpship sub forum or into those for the houses of the inner sphere (i'm looking at you rasalhague). Ok... I admit, we had more in the past. Guess it will be more again, when we get the launch module in six to eight weeks.

As your event is cancled before it even began, I'll take the freedom of jettisoning your thread.

Personally, I find Community Warfare thriving, right here, on the forums.

1. And if participants didn't have the equipment to build your random drawing? I guess there's more fail there than anywhere else
