I run a tag laser on the right arm of my ddc. I could swap this out obviously for a medium laser or with some sacrifice even a large laser.

First, for my build a medium laser would be an awkward weapon by itself(to group) and even a little more heat than I want. I use the tag for cutting through ECM mechs for my team to see, it can help designate primary targets, and I get a wack of bonuses for this in the form of cbills.

It's also so sweet to be duking it out at close to medium range with another assault or even a heavy for that matter and then have a rain of LRM's come crashing down on your foe doing far more damage than a medium laser could ever do.

I also run a UVA on this mech which is not always used but is nice for "is there just one mech poking that hill or 8?"

I was just wandering if anyone els has considered running a tag on a mech as a secondary or tirtiary function.

I run a HBK-4P with six tags in the hunch.

No, but seriously, I bought a 4J to be able to do the predator triple laser pointer, but unfortunately, I didn't think about how in this game all weapons converge perfectly.

The main problem with having a TAG on a brawler is that you are more likely to be within the ECM bubble.. which doesn't work.

Otherwise, it offers good utility
