In the mechlab, one of my mechs has this flashing "check engine" light, a ! inside a triangle, and this warning light I do not know what this means. What does that mean? I can still launch the mech, and it seems it has everything I want on it, but this is just disturbing to think it might conk out at a bad time.

Click on it. Either the build is invalid or missing ammo or engine.

It is a build problems warning. Red means you can not drop. Irange means you can drop, but will have issues, e.g. no ammo, very hot weapons, or spare ammo for weapons you did not bring. Click on it to see a detailed description.

It is a nice feature... after that one time I dropped in an assault mech with only the wrong type of ammo loaded, I've been hoping they'd add a feature like this.

But but but.... when you go into a build you haven't touched in months, and find an extra ton of LRM ammo that you have no launchers for... its like Christmas!

It's an alert. Some alerts mean you cannot launch, others man you may launch but there is an issue. Having the wrong ammo is not an illegal build, just a mistake, but a mech with no engine can never launch

It's an alert, but when I saw one I couldn't get information as to why.

"Check Engine" means either not enough heatsinks or no engine.

The yellow one means missing ammo or ghost heat issues abound.

It's nice that there's a ghost heat warning, but I really wish there was a "yes I know please don't bother me about it any more" button. I knew what I was getting into with those 3-4 LL builds and my HBK-4P...

Not everyone does.

Problem is it's identical to the no ammo warning.

*Puts on 3 PPCs.*
ZOMG NO AMMO NO AMMO NO AMMO WARNING WARNING WARNING!

...But I don't have anything that uses ammo.
"NO AMMO!"

*New player writes it off as a bug.*

When it's really saying "You're gonna get ghost heat if you fire them all at once."

It is leaps and bounds ahead of the previous UI, which had zero info. Getting used to clicking it is just that -- a habit to develop, not a major drawback.

Wow. Really? Never made that mistake (really, I'm obsessive about assembling off of Smurfy plans), so didn't realize that.

I actually really like it. Given how awkward the Mechlab is, I *REALLY* appreciate the warning when I've either forgotten to add ammo, or left the wrong ammo equipped.

Ya well now there are some new symbols that look like (C) copyright symbols on some mechs, they were not there before. I think it means that those mechs cannot be sold. The other (!) /!\ sometimes it shows the message, other times it doesn't. Very confusing.

CN9-A(C)?

That would be the Champion variant of the CN9-A (same variant but comes pre-upgraded and with a 10% xp earning boost)

There is currently a challenge going where winning 5 matches nets you a free one.
I believe you CAN sell those, but I wouldn't as they usually cost $MC rather than Cbills.
(this one being free may be an exception to that though )

Its simply an unwarranted annoyance... I have this idiotic flashing ! on mechs Ive used for months ...nothing wrong, nothing I need to know, nothing need to OMFG warn me about... The trully stupid thing about implementing this useless distraction is the missing option to DISABLE it
