To those that say "a bit generous", War Thunder puts up similar initiatives pretty often, where completing a few tasks grants you a Premium plane simply by playing the game. During Christmas time they ran an event that granted not one but two premium planes.

So.. similar ideas are those who give out some hope and incentive to play this game. I never thought that PGI could reach similar ideas, unless that we're talking of a (C) mech instead of an Hero. But in future more complex achievements could slip into their minds so that they will give away also hero mechs, hopefully not in a distant future..

does anyone know how to sell mechs, that would be super useful right now, I know I know, If I can't figure this out with UI 2.0 I probably super ******** cause it is sooooo ******* intuitive.

LOL no idea. Since the new mechlab Im having a hell of a time figuring what slots a mech has or how to ad some stuff or remove others then save lol. Im a confuseredly person it seems

for those worrying about the generosity i think pgi can spare a mech bay and a mech when there are currently 140 mechs in game.

8 of which are pack only mechs but still i think giving one away isn't going to break pgi, even if they did it once a month, and we have many more mechs coming.

the mechbays yeah they're only as good as the mechs that fill them so it's an incentive to keep buying and playing the game to give one away every so often.

it can only lead to being a more attractive game.

Hrm, 5 wins after a day of horror and slaughter (dear gods, I'm rusty). No mech, no bay. Logging in and out didn't fix it.

Thanks alot, PGI! Now I am highly tempted to get 2 more Cents and elite them. A friend is playing the CN-9D with great success (the only Cent that allows a really big engine = Cent on speed).

Looking forward for more challenges, like: 3 wins in a row with 1 kill or more in each game.

The CT is kinda larger after the hitbox change however. Most classic Cent-A builds (try mechspecs for ideas) still work well.

Easiest fix over the &quot;stock&quot; Cent-A Champion build is to remove the pulse lasers and sub in regular lasers. It'll allow you to have better heat sustainability and more armor and the opportunity to add BAP, so that ECM won't hurt the ASRM4s it comes with (as much).

Seriously though, I'm planning on switching over to Shadowhawks once I finish mastering my Jagers. Selling off the Cent gave me enough dosh to buy my first hawk and outfit it the way I want.

Say every 3 months something like this so those that are reluctant to spend MC's get at the very least a free mech Bay (if they hate the free Mech) I'd hope they scale the win condition by Mech Cbill value if it became a regular or semi regular feature. (Say 10 wins for a heavy/assault etc) Somebody suggested if they ever release a Hero this way it should be the full 25 matches to get it.

Basic rule of any "sale" is you GIVE something to encourage people to PAY for something else. PGI got it pretty well spot on here. 22 pages and I only spotted a handful of cynical posts.. Betcha the sales of MC for Mechbays (so folks can get their other two cents) spikes for march...
