We need conquest to actually be CONQUEST not another form of assault. So tired of getting rolled and the azzhats spouting GG close. Give us weight limits before you run off all light players. There is no point in doing conquest to try capping points when it takes 4x as long as it used to change over a point. Real brilliant add 4 more mechs and cap times take 4x as long. Takes that game away from fast mechs as a way to win. Here's a few good ideas for all you people that whined for 6 months about points being capped to fast and lights winning the game with no pew pew - 1. Play a faster mech that can respond to the cap point being captured, 2. Don't play conquest if you don't want to loose on points 3. Play skirmish so you don't have to worry about cap points. Here's an idea for PGi bring back repair and re-arm as a way to stop players from running expensive mechs all the time. Don't wanna pay that 1 million c-bill R&R for that DDC or HGN then don't play it every match. This will stop so much of the meta builds from being ran over and over and over. Also, have a new module that gives 15% faster cap speed on level one and level two is 25% faster. Then people might actually try and cap for a win instead of pew pew for dat KDR.

Cap times on conquest should definitely be decreased. It's ridiculously long right now.

I see your point but having a big Mech or Three to help remove some resistance makes sense as well. But Conquest could still work while having a lower weight cap!

Conquest has long needed the following changes:

1 - Scale point total to map size. We currently have 3 map sizes, small (Forest Colony), medium (Caustic Valley), and large (Alpine Peaks). Set them at 1000/1500/2000 points each. This extends the life of the match while also boosting rewards according to the likely time investment given the size of the map.

2 - Have points capture pretty quickly (say, 15s for one mech to take a point from full red to yellow, or from one end of yellow to another, or from yellow to full blue; total of 45s from full red to full blue). More mechs should of course make it go much faster. This encourages fighting over points and actually playing the objectives, since you don't need to spend half a minute with your whole lance in a point just to turn it from red to yellow.

3 - Give rewards for being in a box when it changes color. Help turn a red point yellow? Gain a single Capture Assist credit. Stay in the box until it turns blue? Now you have 2 Capture Assist credits. Did you do this 7 times in one match? Then you have 14 CAs. Make them worth c-bills as well as xp for good measure. This gets people an actual, itemized reward for playing the objectives, and would really help light players to have a proper roll and a reward commensurate to their contribution.

Hmm played 10 conquests and won 2 by caps and none by pew pew. Hmmm got rolled on the other 8 cause there is no reward or reason to cap when you can just pew pew.

I love conquest, it's the only game mode with an objective, that objective needs to be incentivized.

Capping a point does take way too long. Back when they raised cap times, they should have only changed the cap time for assault.

Also, Change the GD damage track on Jennners. STOP all damage no matter what going CT. I can turn right left and what ever and doesn't matter all damage goes CT.
