i was hoping it will get fixed but looks like no one cares.
its not even about that glass but its annoying to see sun shining trough the back of my cockpit.
i feel like i didnt closed hatch or something.

Spoiler

inb4: nope. adding moar armor to my back didnt help.

how to reproduce? take cicada. go tourmaline. place yourself with a sun behind your back and look up and down.
you will say its not a big deal.
so now try to running forward...
Spoiler

This unfortunately happens because in 1PV the back of your cockpit is actually open (a performance-saving design decision, why render something you can never see).

Known bug. Why have realistic lighting when you can enjoy all those shitty shiny reflections on your screens and glass.

"known bug" that requires adding 2 freaking polygons to fix.

at least no one yet said "working as intended".

I'm a very patient person, but the changes to the cockpit glass need to go. The cockpit is a sealed environment, which should be light controlled to prevent glare. It's causing headaches for me and several I've spoken to. Just file a bug report and move on, a post on the forum is unlikely to be read or acknowledged by PGI.

I'd think the forums are for folks wanting to post who have similar problems and this is a venue created by the Devs to be utilized... for them not to acknowledge the problem is bad for business... they are working on tons of stuff related to MWO right now... and have recently gone through a staffing change at PGI... expect some delays is all I can say. I still have faith PGI won't #$@! up MWO. Also, keep in mind is Ustarish's post complies with PGI's request when reporting a bug to provide a means to recreate the bug and provide visual evidence of the problem. Ustarish has done exactly that... I'd recommend still filing a ticket with their support staff via email.

It does happen.. in some maps more than others (Tourmaline and I think Canyon seems to exhibit this the most). This unfortunately occurred prior to the cockpit glass too, so I can't say this issue was ever going to get much attention.

Don't know how related this might be to this issue... but I recently purchased 3 Firestarters... Ember, and two standards... the one with dual AMS... awesome... except it's a frakking strobe light inside my cockpit when they are firing... thought I was out at night club'n with friends... very very disorienting.
