Catapult Chained Srm2S Nasty

IT was nasty, I kinda wanted to call foul but it seems legal.
1) Did I get shot with a NARC first because every missile hit me in the tight circle battle?
2) Have you encountered this?
I am not complaining but just giving a heads up.

My Shadowhawk does a very similar trick, but it comes with PPCs too...

Nasty against anything but a light from what I've seen. (I've serously shot and visually hit with 120 missiles into a single light, and only blew off his arms (because I hit them with ERPPCs instead)... did over 400 damage against that single light, and it didn't even die (or breach any armor). I'm not joking.) I've found my SSRMs to be most effective on everything that is bigger, which is what it shouldn't be effective on.

Yoink! I'm trying it. BUT... you realize Artemis does not boost streaks, right?

Personally, I find my Shadowhawk (if you are going to use it) is great at preforming a charge (but try not to be too reckless with it, have friends join you). However, it can also do some sniping work when needed as well (I start off sniping, and if I see a need to charge, I can). Just be careful of the heat. It tends to run hot with the ERPPCs... SSRMs are a weapon to shoot when cooling off though. (If the ERPPCs run too hot for you, replace with ER LLs instead. Same basic idea, just not pin point damage.)

Artemis doesn't boost Streaks themselves, but it does still decrease the lock on time, making them lock on faster. (LRMs and SSRMs share the same lock on mechanic in the game. This is basically a free, no weight, bonus for SSRMs.) Give it a try if you wish. You should see your missile locks being gained faster with Artemis than without. (I've tested it myself, but encase you don't believe me...)
Artemis isn't vital, but it is REAL handy for SSRMs... I suggest it for any SSRM builds if possible.

I think they fixed this a couple of patches ago.

Not to my knowledge, as it was an "intentional bug" from what I recall reading. I could be wrong about this though... I am not perfect. (I do recall when I got Artemis for my SSRM builds, that it still decreased the lock on time for them... but it has been a while...)

oh, and also, if you ever run into that mech build again, aim for the ears.
