Anyone using either of these? I'm looking for some info and making sure MWO is compatible with the programmable buttons.

I would stay away from mice with the shitty Philips Twin-eye sensor, and Razer products in general. Get a Logitech G602/G500s/G400s depending on the shape and number of buttons you want.

I'd say go for the Razer Naga. I myself use the Naga molten edition, and it works flawlessly. The Razer synapse program is just what is needed to create macros / functions, and the 12 thumb buttons wont let you down. Now that i've been playing with one for about a year, i've come to use 6 thumb buttons at most. So, Naga Hex would propably be even more intuitive to use in MWO, but if you use macros or other functions with your mouse in other games as well, i'd say go for the regular / molten naga with the 12 thumb buttons. There's just room for more functions for future use if you appreciate such features. I love the Hz scale on the Naga, and the general usefulness in other games as well. I play a little MMO's and some faster paced fps's and it works flawlessly. Nevertheless, you should be aware that the firmware / drivers and software should be updated as soon as you can. out of the box it had a problem that windows did not recognize the mouse when you started up your PC. You had to re-plug your mouse and then it would work flawlessly. After the update, i've had no such problems ever again. I've used Logitech's and Razers both, but i just expect a little more from my mouse, that's why i chose Razer. (plus, the packaging and the product itself is a blast to unbox / own. You get a lot of stuff with their products) Once you get used to the thumb buttons, you'll never wanna let it go. The Logitech's i've used have worked ok for about a year or two, then i've started to have problems and had to replace them. Bear in mind that the mouses / keyboards i used were over 6 years ago, so my info "might" be outdated. =D

They are both great mice. I love the naga, but the Logitech aint bad either. The thumb buttons are great to have, even if there would be only two of them. But once you get used to them it's hard to let them go. =) I'd also look into the Mad catz Rat series mice, especially the MMO mouse. There's only "one" thumb button, but with several ways to bind it. That way your thumb wont have to do no special acrobatics while trying to reach that special button just for this case, instead you just push the thumb button to the desired direction for the desired effect. I'll be sure to try one if a possibility presents itself, just to make sure if the feel is as solid as it should.

Bottom line is IMO:
If you want thumb buttons just for MWO => Naga HEX or the RAT (not sure about the functionality of the RAT yet though)
If you want thumb buttons for more games than MWO => Naga Molten or Regular (12 thumbsies)
If you want a more traditional fps mouse => Logitech

And remember, the best MechWarrior is ForumWarrior! (as it seems so far) =D

EDIT: I just noticed the G600 has a load of thumb buttons as well, so it aint a bad choice, i just like the quality and the experiences i've had with Razer.

bot great as mentioned, but my vote is for the g600, a bit bigger in the paw and the 3 (l click R click and Ring click) make for a very natural 3 prime fire groups with side buttons for dpi shift (sniper) and your thumb naturaly rest on button 4 so easy to get muacle memory.
Just my pennies worth.

for MWO i use razer nostromo + imperator. first and second weapon groups are assigned to mouse keys and others are on the thumb stick on the keypad. it work nice for me.

hi, ive had the naga, and now i use the logitech g600, dont buy razer, the phillips twin eye lazer engine is terrible, wen you lift the mouse the sensor moves quite a distance for no reason, and its very sensible to a point that i had to 800dpi just so i could properly double click on somthing,

enter the g600, good mouse but it is kinda heavy, after a while it hutst wrist, but this is only if you game a lot, i had to disable the swiftg key on the mouse since it allways got in the way. sensor is ok, not a mx510 sensor, but ok.

my birthday is comming soon, so ima go for this http://www.amazon.co...words=mmo+mouse

since im not fully happy with what i bought, gl

From http://www.amazon.co...words=mmo+mouse

Built for gamers: up to 164000 DPI (selective 1000/2000/4000/8200/16400 DPI), 12000 FPS, 1000 Hz polling rate, 30G acceleration and an Avago sensor, Omron micro switches.

Tip: Don´t throw away your old mouse, most manufacturers use Omrom micro switches and if one breaks you can easily replace it by cannibalizing old hardware.

I'm gonna say the 100% opposite. STAY AWAY FROM HORRIBLE LOGITECH! Setpoint makes Razer synapse look downright competent in comparison. Plus, I can't STAND the way logitech mice track /shudder

I've gotten used to Razer mice, and have had several generations of Nagas. The naga 2014 is about the best mouse ever made. The thumb buttons mirror the top row number pad, or you can set them to mirror the numeric key pad number buttons in synapse. Then it's a simple matter of keybinding in MwO options. The best part, the thumb pad is WONDERFUL for keeping on target while ducking and weaving in lights ^^

[note: Just as a side note, the older models of the naga included a switch to toggle between numeric keypad and top row number keys. If the naga 2014 has a flaw, it's that this has been moved to synapse, forcing people to actually INSTALL AND USE synapse. Synapse is nowhere near great, but at least it doesn't crash six times an hour like setpoint did...]

PS: Someone needs to explain to me why mouse DPI is even relevant to anything outside marketing gimicks Mechwarrior online. I've NEVER had a situation where I went "OMG, I NEED MORE DPI". I'm just curious.

I was thinking of getting the NAGA , I bought the M560 Logitech that is supposed to have 2 side buttons also and 1 extra button by the thumb wheel but they of course will not program in MWO. I have been using 2 button and would love to have more than just 2 weapon groups. I am betting Ghost heat is less of a problem with multiple programmables. So the NAGA is good huh? I will order if no issues.

So far I've heard good things about it and the logitech

If you don't need or want that many buttons though my Logitech M510 does a good job and is a lot cheaper. I'm just treating myself a bit and wanting progammable DPI settings, etc. I also play other game where the multiple buttons will make life MUCH easier (DCUO and SC I'm looking at you).

I love my M510, it's just time for me to step up to the next level :)

I use a Razer Naga Hex and its got as may buttons as I can find a purpose for and the macro creating program is the easiest ive seen also I have found no bugs with it.

It also has adjustable thumb rests.

Just my $0.02

I use the Nostromo and a 2012 Razer Mamba. I regret not getting either product sooner. The Nostromo saves some wear and tear on my Blackwidow Ultimate Keyboard as well.

I also have the molten naga. Looks cool. Also zero complaints . More buttons than I have use for. Can pretty competently run 4 to 5 weapon groups. Also some keys I set to modules like cool flush and arty.
