Sound is an important part of this game that provides you valuable information to play. But the balance is all out of whack right now. Here are the sounds you SHOULD be hearing in order of importance.

- Taking damage
- Bitching Betty
- Your AMS Firing
- Your Weapons firing
- Other's Weapons firing
- Your footsteps
- Others footsteps
- Ambient noise

In addition, the taking damage sounds need some HEAVY rework. You should have different damage sounds for:

- Energy Weapon Small (SmL, SPL, ML)
- Energy Weapon Large (MPL, LL, LPL, PPC)
- Ballistic hit tiny (Machine Gun)
- Ballistic hit Small (AC2, AC5)
- Ballistic hit large (AC10, AC20, GR)
- SRM hit
- LRM hit
- Environmental damage
- Overheat damage

I realize this isn't a "sexy" change that everyone is all up in arms about. . . but it is one that with dramatically improve gameplay and make a big positive difference.

the ambient noise definitely needs some work. if you play Battlefield 4 or something along the lines, you can hear gun shots from so far away. Explosions you still feel the bass of. Some sounds do need a little sprucing up.

Well my concern is more than its not immediately apparent what is going on in the battle around you from the sounds.

Sometimes the fact that you're taking damage is very soft, and you might not even notice much.

The whole sound field is kinda "muddy" and they really need to clean it up so the important information is conveyed when needed.
