Not quite - you still have to work through the [Basics] and [Elite] for the Raven to unlock [Master]
However - the Jenners would count for the unlock - so you would only need to unlock [Elite] for the Ravens.
IE:
[Master] done all three Jenners
Buy a Raven - it cannot go past [Basic] until you do all the Basic on 3 Raven - but then you can sell 2 of them - as the Jenner would count for having finished Elite and unlocking Master (still have to work through the Elites on the Raven before putting points into Master)

You're welcome - as a bonus - with my testing I can personally confirm that you only need 1 mechbay to master a Chassis - so you could start with the ones you know (or at least have a fairly good idea that) you are not planning on keeping/liking.
Edit: still gets expensive Cbill wise though.
Did my testing with Hunchbacks and I have ~1.3m Cbills left in that account..... if I recall correctly.

who thought it is a good idea that you need 3 different chassis to unlock elite tier? i don't get it
i buy one mech, lets say a Atlas AS7-D and i'm happy with it. why should i buy 2 other atlas variants with slightly other weapons. it a big waste of money.
a real mech pilot would try to master his own one mech to become an top pilot.
i can only think that the developers want to force you to spend as much money as you can
i dont want to troll or something like that but i can't get it out of my head. that game mechanic its so strange and hits you right in the face with spend more money.

Experiencing the difference between the variants giving you greater appreciation of the one you like or something like that.

If people only had to buy one variant to get the most out of the chassis - they would run out of "time put into the game" very quickly - as very very few people have any interest in playing more than a few chassis.
FTP games work partially off of that time-to-play (though less so than subscription based games, it is still there)
That and the added grind makes it more appealing to spend real-world money on the game
If no-one spends real-world money on the game, the game dies, and the developers lose their jobs.

I wish it were so, but it is not.
I did some extensive testing a while ago - one per enemy, per ally.
Only one ally brings LRM - you get a maximum of 12 spotting assists.
Keep in mind the message that pops up mid-match is not necessarily what actually happens - same bug as when it looks like someone sent two messages out.

-turret destruction apparently (final shot it seems) nets 150XP, and appears as "grids neutralized" in the final screen (xp confirmed by screenshot)
-win is 300xp (confirmed with screenshots for conquest and assault)
-?There seems to be additional xp for "conquest win", 75xp, not sure if you need to meet a certain condition (e.g. reach 750 resource points)
-loss is 100xp (confirmed with screenshots for assault and skirmish)
-tie is 0xp (no screnshot, but pretty sure about it)
-there also is some xp if an assault match is won by cap, and more if you helped in the capture (75xp and 50xp or the other way around, appears as two items).
-UAV can give multiple XP bonuses (for detection alone, spotting and C-ECM if there is an enemy ECM mech in the UAV range) unfortunately I can't find the numbers now.
Edit: typo correction, wording

From what experience I have had with that.... (and by my poor memory)
Possibilities:
1) If you are standing on the cap point you get 75, if not then 50
(I think I remember having wandered off the point just before winning and getting 50)
2) If you helped cap at all you get 75, if not you get 50
Tricky to check though >.<

Wait, what is this 'daily 2x bonus' thing? Is that the mysterious 2x blue ribbon thing on my mechbay mechs? How does that work?

First Victory you earn each day earns double XP value for that chassis.
...probably better add that to the guide
Edit: if it is alright with you, I will use that image to do it.
