Dual monitor setup. I only run MWO on one of the monitors, the other usually I have whatever I was reading online, smurfys, etc.

Well I have the issue with the MWO minimizing while playing a match. It is super frustrating and the only way it seems to clear up is close everything and restart MWO. My assumption is that the mouse is floating off the MWO screen on to my 2nd screen, when I click it clicks me out of MWO (minimizing it).

Is there a way in game to stop this so I do not have to usually lose a match when it shrinks the window mid battle or restart MWO completely each time? Once it starts I cannot get it to stop otherwise with everything I have tried.

Is there a way to lock the mouse back into the MWO screen field only once this starts?

Well I did not know if there was an option that I do not need 3rd party software and someone knew of an in game way to work around this issue.

The other question is what mode are you playing in? Full Screen, Full Windowed or windowed mode? This can be important, especially if you are running Full Screen but using a different gaming resolution than what is being used for the monitor.

Another reason for the game to minimize happens when an alert pops up from the systray, or hitting a combo key that is a macro for another running program which is activating/enabling a command and causing the weird behavior.

And when you say you have to restart the game to temp fix it, are you saying you are unable to get back into the game, or you are but the screen keeps minimizing?

Full screen non windowed.

I can click back into the game from the taskbar or alt-tab back in but yes it will minimize again shortly there after. Process repeats until I log out and exit MWO, then restart.

1. Check your programs in the systray and uncheck the Enable Macro (Nvidia/Cat/Mouse/etc).
2. Run in Full Window Mode - this may help you see if any pop ups/notifications are popping up (ie Norton's Heavy CPU usage, etc). And if you are moving the mouse off the screen, it will not be as detrimental but this may not be the case, unless you really do throw your mouse around enough to do that.

If you were moving your mouse off the screen, do it while in the front end. Does the behavior continue after it starts?

Consider what key combos are being used, be it via keyboard, mouse or game pad.
