I don't know if this has been suggested before but I believe it would be helpful for teammates (even the ones with comm) if the mech variant piloted is included in Team chat next to the name. e.g.

Jrago (LCT-3M) : Move to D5 now!

There are tons of improvements that could be made to chat. How about indicating in global chat who is on which team?

Agreed. I also wish they'd color-code the people on the teams when kill messages come up. This mainly an issue in Conquest since the kills are not tracked at the top of the screen, so when you get the message "ScreamingMonkey killed AngryBeerCan" you have to hit tab to figure out if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
