I'm not a new player, but Artemis has been object of so many revisions that I'm a bit confused.

What's the real effect of the artemis upgrade right now!? (I would like to have some numbers if possible)

Does it still require line of sight?

Yes, Artemis only gives you it's benefit with line of sight. In lore it's a radar-based range-finding equipment integrated into the LRM launcher.

for LRMs you get faster lock time and tighter missile spread.

for SRMs you get tighter missile spread.

for SSRM2s you get faster missile lock time.

Lore-wise it's a laser-targeted guidance system. But yeah, either way it's line of sight required.

Even with the changes in MWO, though, ECM can interfere with your missile's guidance at close range. Just in MWO it can also interfere with long range too. So careful about ECM. Slapping a tag on or using a bap can help.

Yeah. I'm just thinking about using it on the LRM treb or not. The stats so far say that with artemis LRM15 accuracy is 33% better. 2 tons are probably worthy.
