Here are some suggestions of filters which I feel would be useful in UI2.0:
(I didn't see a suggestion topic related to this on the first three pages aside from a poll about Trial 'Mechs, so apologies if this duplicates another suggestion.)
Of course, it would be very very helpful if the selected filters would persist between drops and logouts.

Mechbay:
  • Available 'Mechs - Owned + Trial - Deployed (make this the default?)
  • Owned 'Mechs - get the Trial 'Mechs out of this filter, please
  • Non-Owned/Available-For-Purchase 'Mechs
  • Trial 'Mechs
  • Hero 'Mechs
  • Champion 'Mechs
  • Deployed 'Mechs - (doesn't need to be selectable, just impacts the Available filter)
  • 'Mechs Containing Engines
  • 'Mechs Containing Non-Consumable Modules
  • 'Mechs Containing Consumable Modules
  • 'Mechs Below Elited
  • Elited 'Mechs
  • Mastered 'Mechs
Loadout - Center Torso - Engine
  • All Engines
  • Standard Engines
  • XL Engines
  • Available/Owned Engines
Loadout - Any Section - Ammo
  • All Ammo
  • Ammo for Equipped Weapons Only
Any other ideas for useful filters? It looks like the functionality is there in UI2.0... but not much has been implemented yet.

Wholeheartedly agreed, we do need more than 2 filters, there's no doubt. The ones you've listed should be quite easy to implement, they are just sorting. Here's one that might take a tiny bit more effort:

Mechbay:
  • Personal/Favourites - lets us drag and re-arrange all our owned mechs, and even exclude some from it.

One thing I expected and was disappointed not to find when UI2.0 went live was an extensive set of filters. Right now there are almost none. This should be an area that'd be relatively easy for PGI to step up and make some useful changes.
